Plymouth have re-signed forward Alex MacDonald on a short-term loan deal from Burnley.
MacDonald returns to Home Park for a second spell after ending last season with the Pilgrims. The Scotland Under-21 international, who played in the Burnley side that knocked Argyle out of the Capital One Cup in midweek, scored four times in 18 appearances last season to help Carl Fletcher's side avoid relegation from the Football League. MacDonald has signed an initial loan deal until October 6 and is available for his new club's game against Northampton on Saturday.
