Walton has future - Luggy
Plymouth Argyle, 18:01, June 19, 2009 ,
Plymouth boss Paul Sturrock has insisted that Simon Walton still has a future at the club despite reports claiming he will be sold.
The midfielder only joined the Pilgrims last summer in a deal worth £750,000 but he soon fell out of favour at Home Park and was shipped out on loan to Blackpool.
There have been question marks over the player's attitude and reports claimed he could be sold in the summer, something which has been denied by Sturrock.
"Simon and I had a chat recently about his future at the club and he appreciates that there is a lot of hard work to be done during pre-season for him to get a chance in the first-team, but if he gets his head down he has got every chance of being an important player for us next season," Sturrock revealed.
