Podolski admits Poland regret

Germany forward Lukas Podolski has admitted he was disappointed to see Poland bow out of Euro 2012 at the group stages.

Podolski, who was born in Poland, is close friends with new Arsenal team-mate and Poland goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny and says the country's elimination from Group A saddened him. "I would have thought the Poles would have beaten the Czechs," he said. "I'm a little disappointed the Poles didn't make it in front of their own fans."
