Micky Adams revealed he has big ambitions for Port Vale after Louis Dodds' double sealed the points at Aldershot to cap a perfect week for the club.
Lancashire businessman Keith Ryder was confirmed as the preferred bidder for the club on Wednesday and with their future appearing secure, Vale played with freedom at the EBB Stadium. And despite Wilko Risser's late effort pegging a goal back, Adams is optimistic for the future of the club. He said: "I'm delighted for the boys, Keith Ryder, and the supporters. It's been a good news week at Vale for a change. "I spoke to Keith on Wednesday and he's ambitious but until I've actually sat down with him and discussed things I can't say much else. "He's enjoying his Easter break and then we'll get to grips with the football club. It's a decent club he's going to buy and I'm sure he's got ambitious plans for it. "The aspirations that we had at the beginning of the season faded when we went into administration and now it's a case of putting in some good performances and getting some pride back."
