Pope in fitness race
Tom Pope is a doubt for Port Vale ahead of their trip to Morecambe.
Pope, who scored the third goal in Vale's 3-0 home win over Barnet on the opening day of the npower League Two season, is nursing a slight hamstring strain following the 2-0 defeat at Accrington on Tuesday night. The striker will continue to be assessed. Should he not be fit enough, manager Micky Adams has plenty of alternative forward options with Ben Williamson, Louis Dodds and Ashley Vincent all able to lead the attack. Adams named an unchanged team against Stanley. Should he wish to make changes elsewhere, defenders Adam Yates and Joe Davis and midfielders Darren Murphy, Ryan Lloyd and Ryan Burge are all available.
