Vale still waiting for takeover approval

Port Vale are still waiting for the Football League to rubber-stamp Keith Ryder's takeover of the npower League Two club.

Lancashire businessman Ryder and administrators Begbies-Traynor last week completed all the necessary paperwork for the sale of the club. But the footballing authorities are yet to confirm the deal. A club statement on Friday read: "In accordance with Football League Regulation 94.1 - Publication of ownership. "Port Vale F.C. Ltd is owned 100% by Mr. Keith Ryder."
