French move unlikely

French Ligue 1 outfit Rennes have admitted it will be difficult for them to re-sign out of favour Portsmouth winger John Utaka.
The Nigerian is thought to be available for a knock-down fee of £5.5million after struggling to make an impact on the Premier League this season.
But the French club, who sold him to Pompey for over £7million in 2007, have played down reports that he could make a sensational return.
Rennes sporting director Pierre Dreossi said: "For John, we don't think the opportunity for him to return is possible. He is a player who did extraordinary things here, but it seems difficult to recreate history."
