Hart bemoans wasted chances

Portsmouth, 12:39, October 18, 2009 ,

Portsmouth boss Paul Hart was disappointed his side went down 2-1 to Spurs and believes Pompey had the better chances.

The result leaves Portsmouth rock bottom of the Premier League table with just three points from their nine games this season and Hart could not understand how his side only scored once.
"We had a lot of chances, a lot of chances that I think we'll be disappointed we haven't taken, and to be honest I can't remember David James having a single shot to save," said Hart. "Apart from 15 minutes we've dominated."
Portsmouth may be among the favourites to face the drop but Hart feels there is a great team spirit among his squad, punters who feel Pompey have what it takes to survive may wish to use their free bet to back the south coast side to avoid relegation.
He added: "We've got to pick ourselves up again on Monday and start again. The spirit remains, they are a great bunch of lads and they want to do well.
"If we if keep that spirit we've got a chance.
"Again apart from 15 or 20 minutes in the first half we dominated against an extremely good side and we're all very disappointed we didn't come out with what I thought we deserved.
"Apart from 15 minutes where we got punished, we've been excellent again."
