Kaboul suffers back injury

Portsmouth defender Younes Kaboul lasted just 20 minutes of France Under-21's defeat to Germany after suffering a back injury.

Les Bleuets went down 1-0 after a last-minute goal from Benedikt Höwedes at the Stade Saint-Symphorien, which gave the Germans a 2-1 victory on aggregate.

But Kaboul missed most of the game and boss Harry Redknapp will be keen for his medical staff to have a look at the summer signing ahead of the clash with Aston Villa on Saturday.
