Pompey line up striker raid
Portsmouth, 09:35, June 23, 2009 ,
Portsmouth look set to use the money received form the sale of Glen Johnson to try and finance a move for Marc Antoine Fortune.
Johnson is on the verge of a £17.5m move to Anfield after agreeing personal terms with the Reds on Monday night and Pompey may try and use some of that money to land striker Fortune from France.
They will have to move quickly though as Hull have already had a £2.5m offer accepted by AS Nancy for his services, although they have yet to agree personal terms for the player who shone for West Brom towards the end of last season.
Celtic and Fulham are also interested in signing the 27 year-old striker, meanwhile Johnson will undergo a medical at Anfield this week before completing his move.
