Rafa in £2m Pompey star swoop

Liverpool are being tipped to make a £2million bid to sign Sylvain Distin after he admitted his future looks uncertain at Portsmouth.
Rafa Benitez could look to bring in another centre back after losing Sami Hyypia to Bayer Leverkusen, but Distin might be put off the move by the prospect of long spells on the bench, with Jamie Carragher Martin Skrtel and Daniel Agger likely to be ahead of him in the pecking order.
Distin only has one year left on his contract at Fratton Park and has admitted that he is unsure what the future has in store, especially following the recent takeover and the uncertainty over the managerial situation.
The former Manchester City man revealed: "Right now I expect to be here next season but I'm not in touch with anyone and tomorrow things can change.
"There may be a new manager with his players and I won't play. A lot of things can happen in the coming months."
