Forest up the ante in McKenna chase

Nottingham Forest have made a £650,000 bid for Preston skipper Paul McKenna in the hope North End will finally do a deal.
Forest have been chasing the experienced midfielder all summer and Billy Davies has failed with at least one bid for McKenna, who has become one of his top targets.
North End have so far refused to sell the player but Davies has refused to give up the chase and according to reports has launched another offer of £650,000.
Forest are now awaiting a response from Preston, who are believed to be holding out for more.
