High price for Preston target

Barnsley have valued in-demand midfielder Anderson de Silva at around £1million in a bid to ward off interest from Preston.
The former Everton man was a target of Bristol City boss Gary Johnson earlier this summer and has now been linked with a move to North End, among several other Championship sides.
Barnsley do not want to sell the Brazilian but are expecting more bids for him over the close season and could be tempted to let him leave for £1million.
Preston boss Alan Irvine has been tracking the 26-year-old for some time but is unlikely to want to pay £1million, which could open the door for other sides to make their move.
