Former QPR skipper Joey Barton could be loaned out to the Championship in an effort to speed up his Rangers return.
Following his actions at the end of last season at Manchester City, where he was sent off and subsequently hit with a 12 game ban, Barton has had the captaincy stripped off him at the R's and his future has always been in doubt.
Now newly promoted Sheffield Wednesday are said to be interested in his services along with recently relegated Blackburn and Nottingham Forest, who are mangerless at the moment, and boss Mark Hughes is pondering a loan which could be ideal.
A short term loan to the Championship, where there are a hatfull of games early on especially if you include the League Cup, is seen as a quicker way through his suspension, so it is an option which maybe taken.
