Dawson deal close

QPR are close to completing the £9m move for Tottenham centre back Michael Dawson who will sign after a medical on Wednesday.

Providing all goes well with his medical the 28-year-old will become the latest in a long line of summer recruits as Mark Hughes completely overhauls his squad.
Dawson, who was left out of Spurs' squad at Newcastle last weekend, also has to discuss personal terms at Loftus Road but they are not expected to pose a problem and the deal should be completed on Wednesday.
Hughes has decided to go for Dawson after running the rule over Barcelona's Andreu Fontas and Kurt Zouma of St Etienne in recent weeks.
