Derry warns of goal difference

QPR midfielder Shaun Derry believes the battle at the bottom of the Premier League is so tight it could go down to goal difference.

The R's sit fourth from bottom of the Premier League, currently two points above Bolton but the Trotters do have two games in hand on Mark Hughes' men. As he prepares to take on Spurs at Loftus Road on Saturday evening, Derry has warned that the final relegation places could be decided by goal difference. The midfielder told Talksport: "There have been teams who have escaped relegation by goal difference so we know it happens, we have just got to stay tight." Meanwhile, Derry continues to be linked with a summer move back to Leeds United to team up with former manager Neil Warnock.
