QPR are set to sign Manchester United full-back Fabio on a season-long loan deal, according to the player's agent.
United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has already revealed that the 21-year-old Brazilian will be going out on loan next term in order to gain more first-team experience having made only 53 appearances since arriving at Old Trafford in 2008. And, when confirming that Rafael is close to signing a new contract extension with United to keep him at the club until 2016, agent Cassiano Pereira revealed that QPR are poised to win the race to take his twin brother Fabio to Loftus Road, where he will link up with former United striker Mark Hughes. He told Estadao ESPN: "Fabio is a promising player and he needs to play. Because of that, Alex Ferguson suggested that he be loaned out to get more experience. "He is a sought-after player because he is still young, and we think that his transfer to QPR was the best decision at the time. "We received some offers from Germany and Portugal, but he preferred to stay in England to remain in touch with the country's football style and so that he would not have a problem to adapt to it when he returned to United."
