Midfielder linked to Hughes
Queens Park Rangers,
QPR boss Mark Hughes is being linked with a move for Manchester City enforcer Nigel de Jong, although he may struggle to land him.
The Dutchman was brought to the country by Hughes whilst he was in charge at Manchester City, he paid Hamburg £18m for his services, and he is trying to bring him to west London. De Jong is not a first choice at City and only made 21 appearances for the side last season, with City boss Roberto Mancini set to spend again this summer he could find himself even further down the pecking order at City. His current contract at City runs out in 12 months time so now might be a good time to move in and Hughes is ready to test the water but there would be plenty of interested parties in the midfielder.
