QPR striker DJ Campbell could be set to depart Loftus Road this summer if he is not given assurances over his future.

The Fulham Chronicle have reported Campbell will seek "showdown talks" with the club after the January arrivals of strikers Djibril Cisse and Bobby Zamora pushed him down the pecking order at Loftus Road. Campbell was signed by former boss Neil Warnock but current manager Mark Hughes is believed to be keen to keep hold of the 30-year-old as a back-up. However, the former Blackpool frontman is keen to secure regular football and may choose to walk away from QPR if he is not given assurances over his future. A source close to Campbell told the Fulham Chronicle: "In an ideal world, DJ would get a lot more chances next season with his injuries now behind him. "But in football's world that's not how it works. No-one in his position wants to hang around a bench playing a bit part."
