Striker deal still on cards

QPR boss Mark Hughes has not given up hope of persuading Liverpool striker Craig Bellamy to join him at Loftus Road this season.
Liverpool have all but decided they will allow the Welsh international to leave Anfield this summer as he is pushing for a return to home town club Cardiff so he can be nearer his family in Wales. Whilst that move remains favourite, Hughes has not given up hope of landing Bellamy just yet. The 33-year-old went on loan for a season to Cardiff between 2010-11 and although QPR want him, he is likely to return there but only if they can afford the deal, a problem that would not effect Hughes at QPR.
