Veteran Milan star not on Rangers' radar
Queens Park Rangers,
QPR boss Neil Warnock has dismissed reports veteran AC Milan defender Nicola Legrottaglie is a summer transfer target.
The 34-year-old claimed recently he had held discussions about a possible move to Loftus Road but Warnock has insisted the player is not among his list of targets.
Warnock says some of the ageing Italian stars who have been talked about as possible new recruits are not his choice of new players and will only be adding to his squad with players he believes can take the club forward as they prepare for the new season in the Premier League.
The R's manager said: "I'm not against foreign players as such. In fact there's three on my list.
"But some of the names we've been linked with over the past few weeks, I've either barely heard of - or I'm not interested. If I get a DVD sent to me and it's only got the highlights of someone's career - it goes straight in the bin," he added in the Fulham Chronicle.
Players believed to be on Warnock's radar include released Cardiff striker Jay Bothroyd while a deal is thought to be close to being agreed with Crystal Palace for Darren Ambrose.
