Maurice Edu admits it would be very difficult to leave Rangers but hasn't ruled out departing Ibrox this summer.

The American midfielder was one of those players who opted to take a 75% pay cut midway through last season but that deal runs out at the end of May. The 26-year-old has a release clause in his contract which means if someone bids £300,000 then Rangers are obliged to let him talk to the interested party. Edu says he has become very found of Gers but admits he may have to leave if he is to continue to compete in his dream competition, the Champions League. "I've been able to play in the Champions League now and once you get a taste of it you want to play in it more and more. "Hopefully, Rangers are playing at the top level in Europe again soon but the way things are going right now it may take a while. "I'm hoping for a resolution - sooner rather than later is ideal."
