Gers winger in Forest link

Rangers, 12:36, November 19, 2008 ,

Nottingham Forest are reportedly plotting to sign Rangers' out of favour winger Chris Burke in the January transfer window.

Burke was thought to be the focus of attention of Forest chief scout Keith Burt during Tuesday's reserve-team clash against Inverness. And with Gers boss Walter Smith aiming to free up some space on the wage bill for potential investments, then the £12,000-a-week player could well be offloaded to the Championship side.
However Burke, who has recently recovered from an ankle injury which cost him his place in the side at Ibrox, might not fancy the idea of fighting a relegation battle in the second tier of English football as opposed to staying put at Rangers and battling it out for his place in a side looking at clinching silverware this term.
