I have to move on - Davis
Rangers,

Steven Davis says he has turned down a move to the newco Rangers for the good of his career as he needs to play at a higher level.
Davis is one of a number of players who are refusing to transfer their contracts to Charles Green's newco and says although he loves the club he has to walk away for the good of his career and family.
Southampton are among the clubs keen to take Davis, who says he needs to be playing at the highest level possible as time ticks away on his career.
"Only those who know me will know how much Rangers mean to me," Davis said in a statement. "I signed a new contract last year, giving my best years to the club in the knowledge we'd be challenging for leagues and cups and in Europe year after year. That's the reason I came to Rangers.
"My young family love life in Scotland but after all that's gone on since administration in February there came a point when I needed to make a decision based on what was best for my short career.
"I am 27 and need to be playing at the highest possible level."
