New deal delay for ace

Rangers are determined to keep hold of Kevin Thomson and are keen to get the midfielder tied down to a new deal.
West Brom have been showing an interest in the player but any plans they had to sign him are now on hold after he was ruled out for the season with a knee injury.
In the meantime, Rangers want the player to sign an extension to his current deal that is due to run out in the summer of 2011, but may wait until he is fully fit.
