Saints in for Gers star

Rangers face a battle to keep hold of Steve Davis as Southampton are reported to be lining up a move.

Reports claim that the newly promoted Saints are keen to take advantage of Rangers' current predicament by snatching the player for a cut-price £2million. Southampton boss Nigel Adkins is also ready to offer the player a bumper package that would make him the club's top earner in the hope it will tempt him to move back south.
