Boss remains positive
Reading, 09:19, January 27, 2010 ,
Reading caretaker manager Brian McDermott blamed missed chances after the Royals slumped to a 3-0 defeat at Sheffield United.
Reading are in the relegation places in the Championship and the caretaker boss says they need to start taking their chances and defend better if they are to escape the drop.
McDermott said: "It came down to chances they took and we didn't. They have had opportunities and scored the goals.
"We have to defend better. That's the story of the game.
"The keeper has been good all night and made good saves. But if we keep creating the chances, I am convinced they will start going in."
