Reading's Adam Federici has won the inaugural Football League Precision Goalkeeping Golden Glove Award for the 2011/12 season.

Federici kept 20 clean sheets in 47 games as Reading clinched the npower Championship title and a return to the Premier League. Stevenage's Chris Day and Swindon's Wes Foderingham won the League One and Two awards respectively.
Precision Goalkeeping brands and marketing director David Sanderson said: "Both in the Championship and League Two the keeper with the most clean sheets has helped his club win the title.
"This just goes to show the importance of a good defensive unit and a goalkeeper that can keep the ball out of the back of the net.
"This is the first year of the Football League Precision Goalkeeping Glove Awards and we have been delighted with the response from the goalkeepers across the country.
"It isn't often that goalkeepers get the recognition that they deserve, but hopefully with these awards we are able to highlight the important job they do for their team."
