Czech international Marek Matejovsky has given the club a boost by claiming he is happy to stay at the club and fight for promotion.
With the Royals failing to gain promotion back to the Premiership at the first attempt, there are expected to be a number of transfers out of the club but Matejovsky says he is happy to stay at Reading.
He told the Post: "It was my dream to play at Wembley and then to go up to the Premiership. But I like it here and I love this club.
"Obviously I will wait and see what happens, but I want to play in England.
"I want to play in the Premiership, but I want to do it with Reading.
"My family are very happy here. I would be happy to stay. That is the way I feel now."
