Midfielder enjoying fight for his place

Reading, 11:53, October 7, 2008

Reading's Brynjar Gunnarsson says he is enjoying his fight to keep his place in the side and be part of the club's resurgence.

A knee injury kept him out of the side earlier in the season but he has made four excellent displays in the middle of the park since his return from the knee problem that had kept him out.

Since his return the Royals have been almost unstoppable but Gunnarsson declines to take all the credit for Royals' remarkable upturn in fortunes, he told the Post: "It's not down to me. Everyone has played well this week. We have scored lots of goals and that has made the job a lot easier.

"We have been playing well, especially at home. We had a couple of not so good games away, but we put that right at Wolves."
