Midfielder move expected

Reading, 09:21, October 30, 2008

Everton boss David Moyes is set to rekindle his interest in Reading midfielder Stephen Hunt when the transfer window opens in January.

Moyes was expected to sign the player last summer but baulked at the asking price of approaching £5m, which led to Hunt vowing to prove he was worth the sort of money Reading wanted for him.

A string of fine displays for the Royals this season has seen him remain in the spotlight and Moyes is now expected to move again for the player when the window opens.

Reading boss Steve Coppell has already stated he expects the player to be moving on in the future but he remains determined to get their asking price for him and it now looks as though Moyes is ready to pay the money.

Sunderland have also been linked.
