Royals leading Rhodes race
Reading,

Reading appear to be winning the race for Huddersfield Town striker Jordan Rhodes and could seal a deal by the end of the month.
A number of Premier League clubs have been linked with the frontman, who grabbed 40 goals last season to help the Terriers secure promotion to the Championship, but the Royals appear to be in pole position to secure the striker. Fulham are believed to have seen a bid in the region of £3.5million turned down by Huddersfield and are expected to return with an improved offer, but Reading are planning to launch a rival bid and are expected to include defender Sean Morrison in their offer. Defender Morrison spent the latter half of last season on loan at Huddersfield and has indicated he would welcome a permanent move to the Galpharm, and a player-plus-cash deal could appeal to the Terriers, who are keen to strengthen ahead of their Championship campaign.
