Spanish star Miku says he turned down the chance to join Reading and Swansea before opting to sign for Celtic.
The 27-year-old has joined Celtic from La Liga outfit Getafe on a season-long loan deal but says he had the chance to move to the Premier League with the Royals and Swans both keen to sign him.
However the midfielder turned his back on the chance to play in arguably the best league in the world in favour of winning silverware with the Scottish champions.
"Swansea and Reading both wanted to sign me in the summer and Getafe wanted money for me before the season started but I said I fancied moving to a big team," he revealed.
"I was the best striker at Getafe. I played every game and felt if I was to go to another team and another country, it would have to be a really big one.
"Swansea and Reading are both good teams but for me, it would be similar to Getafe."
