Reading are in the hunt to sign Hull midfielder Robert Koren and the player's agent says he would be interested in a move.
Royals boss Brian McDermott is a long-time admirer of the 31-year-old and has failed on previous occasions to sign him but now hopes to strike a deal after winning promotion to the Premier League. Reports claim a £750,000 bid could be made and Hull may struggle to turn down such an offer. The Tigers new boss Steve Bruce is keen to keep hold of his best players but Koren will no doubt have his head turned and may ask to leave. Koren's agent, Zoran Krneta, says his client is focused on Hull for now but would have to consider any move from Reading. "I cannot tell you anything right now as is it early days, but there has been a long-term admiration by Brian McDermott for Robert," Krneta said. "He tried six years ago to buy Robert, but he joined West Brom. "Robert is a player Brian knows very well, but the circumstances were different back then. I believe there is no player in the Championship who would not be attracted to the Premier League. "Obviously, if there was an offer from Reading then that would be something Robert would think over seriously. But Hull have just appointed a new manager and I am sure Robert will want to come back from his holiday and see what happens."
