Winger eager to prove his worth

Reading, 14:32, December 11, 2008

Reading youngster James Henry is hoping he does enough in Jimmy Kebe's absence to earn a permanent place in the team.

Kebe's three match suspension for his sending off last Saturday means that local boy Henry will get a regular start in the side and he is hoping to make the most of it.

The 19-year-old right winger came in against Blackpool in mid-week and he intends to keep his friend Kebe out of action for as long as he can.

He told the Evening Post: "I will take each game as it comes and do as much in each one as I can to keep my place. If that's good enough then fantastic.

"The competition makes each player want to do better."
