Butland handed Team GB call-up

Birmingham goalkeeper Jack Butland has been called up to represent Team GB at London 2012.

The 19-year-old will link up with Stuart Pearce's squad later this month as they begin their preparations. Butland, who travelled to Euro 2012 with Roy Hodgson's England, will be rivalled for the number one jersey by Middlesbrough's Jason Steele. The call-up rounds off a hectic summer for the teenager, who was subject to a £6million bid from Premier League new boys Southampton last week.
