Evans pining for Fenton

Rotherham manager Steve Evans wishes that Morecambe defender Nick Fenton was still at the club.

Fenton, who played for the Millers for three years, was told he had no future under former manager Andy Scott at the end of last season and signed on at the Globe Arena after his release. And although he will miss out on a potential return to Don Valley this weekend with his new side as he is carrying a calf injury, Evans, who replaced the dismissed Scott last week, would have liked him in his squad. "It's no good talking about the old manager and I don't know Andy, but he seems hard-working guy," Evans said. "But you look at Nick Fenton and he was here and you look as an outsider and question why he's not here now. "But it's all about opinions."
