Warrington's Garreth Carvell insists that the club's youngsters will rise to the occasion if selected for the trip to Catalans Dragons.
The Wire take on the Dragons in the Challenge Cup on Sunday and coach Tony Smith may be forced to hand some of his younger squad members starts, with veterans Michael Monaghan and Adrian Morley set to miss out through injury. Carvell insists he has total confidence in the younger players at Warrington and the 31-year-old doesn't think inexperience is necessarily a bad thing ahead of the Challenge Cup encounter. "I don't think because they are younger guys that they are more likely to be affected by the occasion," he told the Warrington Guardian. "These young guys train with us every day, they are part of the first team like any other player and are ready to slot in. "They are there because they are able to do a job and I think we have seen that in their performances."
