Hull FC are in a race to secure the signing of England international Rangi Chase, according to his current club Castleford Tigers.

It appears a fee for the 26-year-old reigning Super League Man of Steel has been agreed, but the New Zealand-born half-back still requires a change of visa to switch clubs mid-season.
Therefore Hull are struggling to get the deal done ahead of Friday's deadline, which would enable him to play for them this season.
Castleford chief executive Steve Ferres confirmed: "It is true Hull FC have expressed an interest in Rangi and Rangi has expressed an interest in joining Hull FC. However, Hull will have to apply for a visa for it to go through.
"Hull's intention was to sign Rangi before Friday's 2012 season transfer deadline which is at 2pm.
"Should the visa not be complete, Rangi will remain contracted to Castleford Tigers until 2015.
"He remains available for selection for Sunday's match at home to Warrington Wolves and our coaching staff are happy with how he has trained with the team this week."
If Hull do push through a deal for Chase, who has not played for the Tigers since being suspended for a breach of club discipline last month, he is set to play in next Monday's derby at Hull KR.
