Cunningham gets green light

Rugby League, 10:55, October 6, 2009 ,

St Helens coach Mick Potter says he does not intend to deny Kieron Cunningham a place in the Super League Grand Final on Saturday.

Potter also revealed he expects Matt Gidley and Tony Puletua to shake off groin and shoulder injuries respectively in time to face defending champions Leeds Rhinos.
A scan on Monday revealed Saints favourite Cunningham has a hairline fracture in his hand but Potter has insisted he will play in his seventh Grand Final.
"He'll be offered medical advice but I don't think anyone will tell Keiron he's not playing in a Grand Final, regardless of the outcome of the scan," he said.
