Duo secure Hull KR deals
Liam Salter and James Green have been handed new two-year contract extensions with Super League outfit Hull KR.
The Robins have wasted no time in moving to ensure that 18-year-old winger Salter will stay put until the end of the 2014 campaign after his impressive performances in three of the team's last seven matches. Green has yet to make his Super League debut for the club, but the 21-year-old prop is expected to go on and enjoy a successful career in the game. Hull KR chief executive Mike Smith told the Super League website: "We have a real focus on producing our own talent and want to see the likes of Liam Salter and James Green become regular first-team players in the future. "The fact that we have tied them down to new contracts is a statement of intent that shows we don't want our talented, young players leaving the club to go elsewhere."
