The All Blacks are set to be handed a massive boost with the news that Dan Carter should be fit to face Argentina this weekend.
The fly-half has missed New Zealand's last two matches against South Africa and the Pumas after picking up a calf injury during the win over Australia on August 25.
In his absence, Aaron Cruden has filled the number ten jersey but despite guiding his side to consecutive wins, he has failed to get the backline firing.
Coach Steve Hansen is understandably delighted about Carter's recovery and is confident he'll be fit to take part in Saturday's clash in La Plata.
"We'll have to wait and see how we go on the training track," said Hansen. "But DC's come through the week reasonably good and he sounds confident, as long as he doesn't get any setbacks we should be fine."
