Harlequins No.10 Nick Evans has been awarded the Computacenter Players' Player of the Year for a fine campaign this term.

The former All Black has been one of the main reasons Quins are set to take on Leicester Tigers in the Aviva Premiership Grand Final this weekend, following some world-class performances from the fly-half. Often seen as second best in his native New Zealand behind Canterbury Crusaders star Dan Carter, Evans has flourished in the English game and has secured a much deserved prize which is voted on by players in the league. The 31-year-old is delighted with the prize and is looking forward to the big challenge of taking on the Tigers at the Home of Rugby this weekend. He said: "I've got great respect and admiration for all the guys on the team and they've made my job easy this year and it's great to see so many Quins players nominated. "We've had a fantastic season so far and hopefully we can finish the job at Twickenham on Saturday."
