Fallen superstar Gavin Henson admits he is determined to take his latest last chance in rugby with London Welsh.
The former Wales international came close to retiring after being sacked by Cardiff Blues in April following an incident on a flight from Glasgow. However, it has emerged the 30-year-old had already been made aware he was not being retained by the RaboDirect PRO12 outfit and was ready to hang up his boots. Henson was apparently embarrassed over the fact his latest move had not worked out following similar short-term stints with Toulon and Saracens. But he then had a change of heart as the 33-cap Welshman did not want to bow out on a low note. "In a way, if there's anything good to come out of it [being sacked], it was that I knew things couldn't end like that," said Henson. "I had to bite the bullet and sign again for another club and try and put things right. "I just have to make sure I stay on the straight and narrow and play the best I can." London Welsh kick off the Aviva Premiership season with a home clash against Leicester Tigers on Sunday, September 2.
