Lancaster recalls Care and names 13 new faces

Stuart Lancaster has named 13 uncapped players and recalled Danny Care to the England squad for the tour of South Africa.

Harlequins scrum-half Care missed last year's World Cup due to injury but was axed from the 2012 Six Nations squad after being charged with drink-driving. James Haskell has also earned a recall to the international set-up after being left out of the Six Nations squad because he was playing for the Highlanders in the southern hemisphere. Leicester's Tom Youngs is one of four hookers included in the squad, despite never having started a Premiership match in that position, with Quins Joe Gray another new face, while the Wasps duo of Christian Wade and Joe Launchbury were also rewarded with a first call-up each. Chris Robshaw was also confirmed as captain and will have Bath's Carl Fearns and Exeter's Tom Johnson for company in the back row as they were selected due to the absence of Tom Croft, Tom Wood and Callum Clark.
