Sir Ian McGeechan has been appointed as one of a pair of experts by the RFU to review the performance of the England squad.
The ex-British and Irish Lions head coach has been selected alongside former UK Sport performance director Peter Keen, who will be looking to see how England can improve ahead of the World Cup on home soil in 2015. RFU chief executive Ian Ritchie is delighted to have the two independent experts onboard as they hope to get the most out of the current crop of England players. He said: "I'm delighted we've got two outstanding individuals involved and this is a very positive move. "We have one of the greatest rugby brains of modern times allied with one of the most respected performance experts Great Britain has produced and that experience of best practice at the very top of elite sport can only benefit us. "I know they're both very excited about their involvement and I'm looking forward to working with them closely."
