Harlequins captain Chris Robshaw has expressed his delight at being nominated for the Premiership Player of the Year award.

Robshaw is part of the six-player shortlist to be named, taking his place alongside Gloucester prop Nick Wood, Saracens' Brad Barritt, Leicester back row forward Julian Salvi, Exeter's James Scaysbrook and Harlequins team-mate Mike Brown.
The winner of the award will be announced on May 8, but Robshaw, who was also named England captain in 2012, says he's just pleased to have made the final six.
"I'm extremely proud to be nominated for the Aviva player of the year award, and it's great to see my team-mate Mike Brown in there as well," said the Quins man, who has played a pivotal role in his side's charge to the top of the Aviva Premiership this season.
Meanwhile, Leicester's Richard Cockerill, Exeter's Rob Baxter and Quins' Conor O'Shea have been named on the shortlist for the award of Director of Rugby of the Season.
Cockerill and O'Shea have led their teams to domination of the competition in 2011/12, while Exeter supremo Baxter has helped mastermind the Chiefs' excellent first season back in the top flight following last year's promotion from the Championship.
