Ewan McKenzie believes Quade Cooper is desperate to regain his place in the Australia side despite his criticism of the team.

McKenzie is the man who has been credited with finally helping Cooper fulfil his potential at the Queensland Reds, but despite previously being a regular for the Wallabies, he has been left out of recent squads following his public spat with coach Robbie Deans.
His comments even prompted the Australian Rugby Union threaten to tear up his contract and has seen him linked with a lucrative move to rugby league.
However, McKenzie believes Cooper is still passionate about representing his country and that he is desperate to regain his place.
"While there's been a lot of talk in recent times I've never ever thought that he wasn't passionate about the Reds, about Australian rugby," said McKenzie.
"He's one of the most competitive guys I've met. I'm sure he'll want to play No.10 at the highest level he can in front of the biggest crowds he can possibly play. That's him."
