Northampton Saints edged out the Exeter Chiefs 18-15 in a massive game near the top of the Aviva Premiership on Sunday.

The Chiefs were on a run of four straight Premiership victories ahead of their clash with Northampton at Sandy Park and the home side led for much of the encounter.
With both teams looking to qualify for that fourth and final playoff place, it was a massive game for both clubs, which Exeter lead thanks to an early try from Gonzalo Camacho on 9 minutes.
Exeter held a 10-3 advantage but then Northampton started to get some momentum behind them and began the stronger of the two teams in the second-half, with England winger Chris Ashton crossing the line just after the break.
Thanks to the kicking of Stephen Myler the visitors were just edging the game 11-10 and then the Saints were able to extend their lead thanks to a try with just five minutes remaining from Paul Diggin.
The Chiefs were able to bag a try with the last play of the game to narrow the scores but Northampton had done enough to secure a vital victory on the road.
