Sale Sharks have moved to deny earlier reports that Bryan Redpath has been sacked as the club's director of rugby.

It was widely reported on Monday that the former Scotland international had parted company with the north-west club due to their dreadful start to the season.
Sharks have lost all seven of their Aviva Premiership games and sit at the bottom of the tale with just two points and it appeared as though he had paid the price for failure, but club's head of media Dave Swanton has rubbished the reports on Twitter.
"Don't know where the media got that from but can confirm Brush is still employed by Sale Sharks," he tweeted.
The club then also released a statement to clarify the situation, which read: "Sale Sharks would like to place on record that Bryan Redpath has not been dismissed by the club."
Redpath spent five years with Sale as a player between 2000 and 2005 and he returned to the club back in June after leaving Gloucester.
But, despite big-name signings such as Danny Cipriani and Richie Gray, they have failed to hit the heights, with just one Heineken Cup victory over Cardiff Blues to show for their efforts.
